Your information

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information ALIGN Leadership collects through this website, why we use it and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Who we are

ALIGN Leadership is a UK leadership effectiveness consultancy and is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

For privacy questions or to exercise your data protection rights, email lily@alignleadership.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

If you prepare an enquiry using our website, you may provide your name, work email address, organisation, approximate number of employees and information about the business challenge you are experiencing.

The website prepares this information in an email in your usual email application. The enquiry form itself does not save your information in a website database.

Our hosting and security providers may also process limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information and request logs, where necessary to deliver and protect the website.

3. How and why we use it

We use enquiry information to:

  • respond to your questions and arrange an introductory conversation;
  • understand whether our services may be relevant to your organisation;
  • prepare a proposal or take steps towards entering into a contract; and
  • maintain appropriate records of business communications.

Our lawful bases are our legitimate interests in responding to and developing relevant business enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use website enquiries for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.

4. Who we share information with

We may share information only where reasonably necessary with service providers supporting our website, email and business administration; professional advisers; or public authorities where disclosure is required by law.

We do not sell personal information. Where a supplier processes information outside the UK, we require an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

General enquiries are normally retained for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact, unless the enquiry develops into a client relationship or we need to keep information for a legal reason. Contract, financial and client administration records may be retained for up to six years after the relevant relationship ends.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us for access to your personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict how it is used, object to its use or receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis being used.

Contact us at lily@alignleadership.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

8. Client and employee information

This policy covers information collected through the public website. If an organisation appoints ALIGN Leadership to conduct interviews, employee feedback or a leadership review, the responsibilities, confidentiality arrangements and handling of participant information will be set out separately before that work begins.

9. Changes to this policy

We will review this policy as our services and technology develop. Material changes will be published on this page with a revised update date.
